Side-event of the UNA-Russia "Russian regions and businesses: Pathways to cooperation across Asia and the Pacific in leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development" on the margins of the 80th session of the Commission, ESCAP
The UN Association of Russia is organizing on 23 April 2024, 17:30-18:30 (Bangkok time) side-event "Russian regions and businesses: Pathways to cooperation across Asia and the Pacific in leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development" on the margins of the 80th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Thailand and the UN Information Centre in Moscow.
Digitization is rapidly transforming the societies and economies of Asia-Pacific countries. The event will contribute to regional political dialogue and exchange of experience, plans, and strategies, as well as to strengthening joint actions throughout the region in using digital innovations to accelerate the implementation of the Agenda for 2030.
The event will feature the regions, which participate in the UN Association of Russia Program «Regions of Russia and the UN Sustainable Development Goals» (Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, Samara and Sverdlovsk Regions and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra), as well as representatives of business (Sberbank, etc.), the diplomatic corps, international and intergovernmental organizations, and civil society.
