Side-event of the UNA-Russia "Russian regions and businesses: Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in times of multiple crises – The effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions"

The UN Association of Russia is organizing on March 13, 2024 online side-event "Russian regions and businesses: Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in times of multiple crises – The effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions" on the margin the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development 2024. The event is organized with the support of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office in Geneva, the UN Information Center in Moscow and MGIMO University. The forthcoming event aims to showcase pioneering policies and solutions that have had a significant impact and demonstrated resilience in the face of crises. The event serves as a platform for Russian regions and esteemed business leaders to present their efforts in tackling poverty, promoting peace, justice, and partnerships for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as their initiatives towards climate action.

The event will serve as a gathering for stakeholders from various sectors including academia, youth representatives, the diplomatic corps, international and intergovernmental organizations, and civil society. These diverse actors will come together to exchange perspectives on accelerating the achievement of the SDGs. Notably, emphasis will be placed on the presentation and discussion of sustainable strategies and partnership projects related to SDGs 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, 13, 16, and 17.
