UNA-Russia to Highlight Regional Contributions to SDGs at the 2025 UNECE Regional Forum

The United Nations Association of Russia (UNA-Russia) will host a side event «From Local to Global: Russian Regional and NGO Contributions to the SDGs 3, 5, 8, and 14» at the 2025 UNECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development. The session will take place on 3 April 2025, from 2:15 PM to 3:45 PM (Geneva time), and will spotlight key initiatives in health, gender equality, economic growth, and marine conservation.

Experts from policy, civil society, and business sectors will share their insights, best practices, and challenges, emphasizing the role of local action and multistakeholder partnerships in advancing the 2030 Agenda. The discussion will also highlight Russia’s regional approaches to addressing development challenges and their integration into the global SDG framework.

Key Objectives:

  • Present regional and NGO-led initiatives in health, gender equality, economic growth, and marine conservation.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange on effective SDG implementation strategies.
  • Explore opportunities for strengthening partnerships between local actors and international organizations.
