The United Nations Association of Russia (UNA-Russia) will host a side event within the framework of the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD-13) titled “Contribution of the Private Sector to Transformative and Coordinated Actions for the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs in the Asia-Pacific Region”.

The event will focus on the role of the private sector in driving innovation, investment, and partnerships to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, with particular emphasis on SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), as well as SDGs 6, 7, 9, and 11.


Key findings of the forthcoming analytical Review “Contribution of the Private Sector to the Implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2026)” prepared by MGIMO University and the UNA-Russia in cooperation with business and ESG institutions, will be presented. While drawing on Eurasian experience, the discussion will emphasize transferable business models and partnership mechanisms relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.


The event will bring together representatives of governments, international organizations, business networks, academia, and the private sector, with contributions expected from the UN Global Compact Country Network Thailand, the ESCAP Sustainable Business Network, and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
